Edge44 had grown organically over several years, taking on diverse projects across advertising, film production, and digital content creation. As the studio expanded, the lack of a cohesive brand identity became a liability — each team member used different visual styles in pitches and presentations, creating an inconsistent and unprofessional impression with potential clients.
The creative industry is notoriously saturated, with thousands of studios competing for the same brand and agency partnerships. Edge44's previous visual identity was generic and unmemorable — a simple wordmark with no distinctive character that disappeared among competitors at industry events, on social media, and in portfolio reviews.
As Edge44 moved into motion-heavy work including video production and animated content, they needed brand assets that could translate seamlessly from static to animated applications. Their existing identity had no guidelines for animation, transitions, or dynamic usage — resulting in ad-hoc interpretations that diluted the brand with every new project.
Our Solution
We conducted an in-depth brand strategy workshop with Edge44's founders and creative leads, exploring their values, competitive landscape, and aspirational positioning. Through mood boarding, competitor mapping, and audience analysis, we defined a brand personality that balances creative boldness with professional sophistication — capturing Edge44's ethos of pushing boundaries while delivering results.
The visual identity centers on a modular geometric logomark built from intersecting angular forms that symbolize the convergence of creative disciplines. The mark works at any scale — from favicon to building signage — and includes animated variants with prescribed transition sequences for video intros, social content, and presentations. The supporting color system features a bold primary palette anchored by signature pink and deep violet, with contextual extensions for sub-brands and campaign work.
We delivered a comprehensive 80-page brand guidelines document covering logo usage rules, minimum sizing, clear space, color specifications for print and digital, typography hierarchy, photography direction, iconography, stationery design, and social media templates. Additionally, we created an After Effects motion toolkit with pre-built logo animations, lower thirds, and transition templates that Edge44's team can customize for client deliverables.
